Donor Retention (Virtual)

Time: 12:00-1:00pm

Venue: Zoom

Program Description: Let’s take a minute to acknowledge the hard truth: donor retention rates are dropping across the board. As fundraisers, it's crucial we tackle this issue directly. If boosting donor retention is a top priority for your organization this year (and it should be!), join us for a focused discussion on understanding your nonprofit's donor retention rate, spotting areas of attrition, and devising a tailored strategy to keep donors engaged and committed. It’s not too late to take action in 2024 and ensure your organization's long-term impact through stronger donor relationships.

Speaker Bio: Renee Davis, MNM, CFRE has over 17 years of nonprofit fundraising experience. Multi-Generational Team Communication (Virtual)

Time: 12-1pm

Venue: Zoom

Program Description: Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z: there are four generations in today's nonprofit workforce, and with such wildly varying communication styles and preferences in play, miscommunication is virtually inevitable - or is it? This workshop focuses on ways to address or eliminate common sources of friction, leverage the communication strengths of each generation, and set up your multigenerational team for healthier, more effective communication.

Speaker Bio: Kate's odyssey in the nonprofit realm spans over a decade, evolving from a dedicated volunteer and board member to a committed staff member. She ventured into contract and freelance work along the way, ultimately circling back as a consultant. Her focus? Remedying the cultural toxicity she encountered far too often. "Nontoxic Nonprofits" is the culmination of countless nights of contemplation, insightful revelations, and the realization that the challenges her employers or clients faced were most often rooted in their organizational culture and communication practices.

Kate is a NANOE Certified Nonprofit Consultant and holds a BA in International Studies, an MA in Global Communication, and a professional Certificate of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Membership: Only $50 /year for 10 programs plus other PIDN benefits.

Board Fundraising (Virtual)

Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM

Venue: Zoom

Program Description: Ever wish your board members would participate in fundraising in a greater way? That’s exactly what we’ll be discussing during this session…

 You’ll learn:

  • The non-fundraising activities board members can do that greatly impact your fundraising team’s success

  • How the staff can ensure greater participation from board members

  • Why I don’t have board members “ask for money”

Speaker Bio: Sherry Quam Taylor works with business-minded Nonprofit CEOs whose Strategic Plans require expansive budgets and larger amounts of general-operating revenue for growth. To become investment-level ready, Sherry helps leaders see their revenue potential and helps them see what may be blocking donors from giving in this way. Sherry’s clients know how to attract larger donors by solving the funding challenges at the root of the issue.

As a result of learning her methodology, Sherry’s clients become sustainable, diversify revenue, and know how to add significant amounts gen-ops revenue to their budgets. But mostly, their development departments and board have transformed into high-ROI revenue generators – aligning their hours with relational dollars and set free from the limitations of transactional fundraising.

Sherry attributes the success of her business to her passion for modeling radical confidence to the future CEOs in her house - her two teenage daughters.

Membership: Only $50 /year for 10 programs plus other PIDN benefits.

Drop-In: $20 per program ($15 for professionals new to the field)

Leveraging CEO & Staff as Fundraising Champions

Major donors are deeply passionate about our mission and appreciate knowing our organizations in a highly personal way. As development officers, we are well practiced in building relationships with our major donors. However, sometimes it’s even more beneficial to nurture relationships between the donor and our non-fundraising colleagues who interact most closely with our beneficiaries. With guidance and encouragement, our staff “Champions” can inspire a meaningful major gift and spark a dedicated connection with the donor for many years.
