Presenter: Kathy Slaughter, Chief Development Officer at YWCA Evanston/North Shore

Description: Kathy Slaughter has helped lead YWCA Evanston/North Shore through a successful capital campaign raising $18.5 million to expand and renovate the YWCA campus. While some gifts from existing donors came in early, she will discuss how new prospects were identified, how the board and community were engaged, and the strategies and timeline it took to successfully finish the campaign. 

 About the Presenter:

Kathy Slaughter, Chief Development Officer, has been at YWCA Evanston/North Shore since 2009. During her tenure, contributions from individuals have increased significantly, resulting in a more diverse funding stream for the organization. In addition, new fundraising programs have been introduced including major gifts, monthly giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, and planned giving. Prior to joining YWCA, Ms. Slaughter worked in corporate marketing and sales, and in grants management at the Evanston Community Foundation.
