Description: Transparency inspires confidence. Beyond what the law requires, nonprofits can demonstrate their commitment to ethical practices by being entirely transparent with financial information and fundraising practices. Take a deep dive into the standards and guidelines of ethical fundraising including examples of ethical and unethical fundraising. 

 Objectives:

  • Better understand and know when to utilize risk assessment evaluation.

  • Understand what professional licensing organizations expect of fundraisers and how to better hold our profession to a high standard. 

  • Make sense of Ethics, Morals and Laws and know where they intersect with each other.

Speaker Bio: Jordan Debbink-Lesniak is an inclusive and experienced nonprofit capacity builder with over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. He has a track record of mindful relationship building, strong organizational ethics and refinement in leading practices.

Jordan is skilled in board ​governance and consulting, donor development and stewardship. Over the past five years, he has spent significant time and energy in the field of social intelligence and its relevance to the work of a professional fundraiser.  He is a Certified Development Executive (CDE), A Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) and a Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant (CNBC) He is also a TEDx Talk speaker. Jordan is currently the Director of Development & PR at Allendale Associaton.

Membership: Only $55 /year for 10 programs plus other PIDN benefits.

Drop-In: $20 per program ($15 for professionals new to the field)
