Kimberly Hoopingarner, Director of Advancement with Northlight Theatre, will share how she and her team are preparing to host an in-person, outdoor gala this October at the Chicago Botanic Garden. She'll share the challenges and opportunities encountered thus far in the planning process including the constantly shifting landscape as it relates to the pandemic.

 About the Presenter:

Kimberly Hoopingarner serves as the Director of Advancement with Northlight Theatre in Skokie, IL. In her 7 years with Northlight, the company’s contributed income increased by nearly 50%. During her tenure with the theatre, Kimberly has instituted a planned giving program, a Visionary’s Giving Circle, and a robust Advisory Council. She has also led the effort to grow the board of trustees which now includes 27 business and community leaders. Kimberly was previously the Director of Development with the Youth Job Center in Evanston where she grew their annual operating budget from under $500,000 to nearly $2,000,000. The majority of Kimberly’s career was in marketing with Kraft Foods, Inc. where she worked on several of the company’s major brands for over 14 years.
